Our projects
Solidarity travel
Travel while supporting local communities.
AFOR creates solidarity travel in Uzbekistan.
What is solidarity travel?
Travel that supports local communities
Solidarity travel is organized so local communities benefit directly from your trip, not just pass by as a backdrop.
With AFOR, this means homestays, family meals, fairly paid guides, and direct purchases from artisans.

Why AFOR?
Why AFOR chose this model
AFOR grew out of Navbakhor Boudot's own story. She is from Khorezm, near the Aral Sea, and wanted to create stronger links between Uzbekistan and France.
When she founded AFOR in Lyon in 2012, solidarity travel became a practical way to fund projects in Gurlan and nearby areas.
Three principles
What guides every journey
Human connection
Each itinerary includes real time with Uzbek families, artisans, and guides, not only monument visits.
Local economy
Most of your budget stays in the region through homestays, family restaurants, local transport, and direct craft purchases.
Knowledge sharing
Guides and host families share their culture and know-how, and travelers bring questions and perspective in return.
Adaptable
A solidarity trip adapted to you
Some travelers want full homestays. Others want more cultural visits with a few local project stops. We adapt the itinerary to your style. Circuits run from 11 to 18 days and can be adjusted in length, pace, and focus.
